Approximately half of Carthage Crushed Limestone's production is used as construction and industrial material, including aggregate for highways, commercial construction, residential construction, railroads and various industries. We have rock available that complies with Missouri specifications for state funded construction projects. Fine Grind Chemical / Feed Grade Limestone
We efficiently produce high-purity, chemical/feed grade limestone. All of our fine grind products go through a drying and milling process. Carthage Crushed Limestone supplies several major industrial and agricultural markets with a wide range of product from our Fine Grind Division, including but not limited to:

Industrial Fillers
Limestone fillers, which are finely ground limestone, are used in a wide range of manufacturing processes including, for example, roofing materials, clay targets, and fertilizers. We are considered a "preferred supplier" with many of our customers who use our high purity limestone, which is processed into fillers through grinding into course, medium or fine grades.

Glass Sand
Calcium carbonate is the most extensively used limestone for producing glass and fiberglass. Carthage Crushed Limestone is one of the largest suppliers to the glass and fiberglass industries in the Midwest. Contact us to find out how we can help you.

Scrubber Stone
Our ledges have a high calcium content which would make an excellent "scrubber stone". This is used for flue gas desulphurization by power plants to remove sulphur-dioxide produced by burning coal.

Animal Feed
We mine one of the highest quality mines in our four state area with calcium carbonate levels up to 97%. As a result, Carthage Crushed Limestone has been serving area Midwest poultry and animal feed industries since 1965.

Bagged Fine Grind Product
Most of our product is offered in 50 pound bags. Pending the season, a 2 to 4 week notice may be required before your order may be available for pick up. Pallet exchange is not allowed and loading hours are from 7 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Ag Lime
Ag or agriculture lime is limestone "fines" which are used for correcting soil acidity. Our limestone is a very soluble product and a great enhancement for any soil treatment. The fineness of a limestone material affects how rapidly the lime will react in the soil. Ag lime, don't put it off - Spread it on!

Marble
Carthage Crushed Limestone no longer actively mines marble; however, we still possess a large inventory of un-cut and cut stone. Our current stock is perfect for countertops, flagging, sculpting, and landscaping. Our marble is still used in a variety of industries such as for drilling technology, lab research on drill bits for the oil field industry and even by sculptors from all across the country.
